Clea Carchia's design skills have been nurtured by a lifetime of exposure to the arts.
While obtaining her BA from New York University with a major in Film and Television, Clea created store displays for the visual merchandising department at Macy’s. After working in an art gallery, Clea joined her father at Carchia/Carchia Advertising where she worked for 10 years, mastering production, PR, design and marketing. Afterwards, she worked full time and freelanced in graphics and website design at advertising agencies and design studios. At that time she began creating websites for freelance clients.
In 1999 Clea opened a Ballroom Dance Studio in Somerville, NJ. Bolstered by her previous experience in advertising, marketing and website design, Clea grew the studio into a very successful business. She owned the ballroom for 5 years, after which she opened Clea Carchia Design.
Clea has always had a passion for travel and been fascinated by diverse environments, cultures, people and animals. She harbors a natural curiosity and excitement of the world around her and documents it through photography. She currently attends The International Center of Photography in New York City, one of the World’s most renowned scholarly venues for the advanced study of photography.
Her cumulative experience uniquely enriches the work she now produces for clients at Clea Carchia Design, including:
